AI SEO agencies in Singapore, compared side by side

By DongHyun Kim, Co-founder, CTO and COO · Last updated

A business owner in a bright Singapore office looks at a row of blank cards through a magnifying glass

Ask ChatGPT which agency in Singapore can get your business into its answers, and it gives you a list. Ask again tomorrow and the list is often different.

Open the websites on that list and they all promise the same thing: we'll get ChatGPT to recommend you.

So how do you tell them apart before you sign? We read the AI SEO pages of eleven Singapore agencies, most of them the ones ChatGPT, Gemini and Google's AI name when a buyer asks this, and put them side by side on the five things that decide what you actually get.

How do AI SEO agencies in Singapore differ?

They differ in five things: which AI assistants they check, how often they check, whether you can read the answers yourself, what they do between reports, and what it costs and for how long. On the pages we read, most check or report once a month. Five of the eleven publish a price, starting from about S$1,000 to S$3,500 a month. The minimum term runs from none at all to 12 months.

One note before you read on. We are AI WISE, and we sell this service too. So we put ourselves first and say so plainly. Every other agency is described only from its own website, with a link, so you can check every line.

AI SEO is the work of getting your business named when people ask ChatGPT or Google's AI who to buy from. You may also see it called GEO. It is the same work.

Five things to ask any AI SEO agency

1. Which AI assistants do you check?

Your customers don't all use the same one. ChatGPT, Gemini, Google's AI Overview (the answer at the top of a Google search) and Google's newer AI Mode each give their own answer. Ask which ones the agency checks, and whether it asks from your market, the way your buyers do.

2. How often do you check?

The answers move. When researchers asked the same questions almost three thousand times, they got the same list twice less than once in a hundred. One check a month is one photo of a moving crowd. Asking the same questions every day shows the trend behind the noise, so a real change can be told apart from a lucky day.

3. Can I read the answers myself?

A score is useful. The answers are better. Ask whether you can see what ChatGPT actually said, which businesses it named, and which websites it read to decide. Those websites are where the work happens.

4. What do you do between reports, and why that work?

Ask for the task list, and ask what each task is based on. Each task should say what will be done, why, where, who does it (you or the agency) and when. The strongest reason a task can have is an answer: a question your buyers asked where the AI left you out, the business it named instead, and the page it read to decide. Work aimed at that point goes straight at the answer you want to change. A report that arrives without a list of work behind it tells you where you stand, but not how you will move.

5. What does it cost, and for how long?

Ask for the monthly price, what it includes, and the minimum term, in writing. Some packages count their work in articles per month; others count fixes, pages or hours. Compare like with like.

AI WISE: our answer to each of the five

We wrote this, so here are our answers first, so you can hold us to them.

  1. Which AIs: ChatGPT, Gemini, Google's AI Overview and Google's AI Mode, asked from your market: Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia or wherever you sell. Perplexity and Bing can be added.
  2. How often: every day. The questions are your buyers' questions, in their words, agreed with you before anything is measured, and they stay the same so every day can be compared with the last.
  3. Can you read them: yes. You log in to WISE Lens, our client portal, and read every answer, who was named in it, and the websites the AI read.
  4. Between reports: work every working day, chosen from that day's answers. We read them and find where you were left out: the question, the business named instead, and the page the AI read to decide. That day's work goes straight at that point, whether it is a fact the AI got wrong, an answer missing from your page, or the list or directory it relied on. Around the daily work sits one task list for the month, each task saying who does it and when. Every Monday you get a report of what was done and what moved.
  5. Cost and term: we set the package with you on a 30-minute call, once we have seen your market. The minimum term is 3 months, then month to month.

And the same team does the rest: strategy first, then AI SEO and SEO, with content, social media and ads alongside. How our AI SEO work runs.

What you see when you log in

Here are four of the screens a client opens in WISE Lens. They are shown with an example business and sample data: Tembusu Lane Coffee Roasters is not a real company, but the screens are the real tool.

What the side-by-side shows

  • Most work to a monthly rhythm. Six of the eleven say they check or report monthly, and Hashmeta reports weekly on its biggest plan. First Page Digital says it tracks continuously, Impossible Marketing says regularly, and three don't say.
  • Seeing the answers yourself is rare. Two mention a dashboard. None says plainly that you can log in and read what the AI actually told your buyers.
  • Packages count what they produce. Where a package lists what it includes, it counts pieces of work: articles or pages a month (Hashmeta and Stridec).
  • Prices vary widely. Five publish them, from about S$1,000 a month for an add-on to US$10,000 a month for the largest package.
  • So do contracts. Two let you stop any month, one asks for 3 months and one for 12. The rest don't say.
  • Google's AI Mode is still new. Three of the eleven name it.

Which kind of agency suits you

If you want to know where you stand before committing, a one-off audit is a sensible first step. Synapse Arrows publishes one from S$2,500.

If you want a lot of new articles every month, look at the packages that count their output in pieces. Hashmeta and Stridec both list how many.

If you want the work chosen every working day from what the AIs actually answered, and the answers open to read yourself, with one team that also runs your content, social media and ads, that is what we built AI WISE to do.

Questions owners ask

How much does AI SEO cost a month in Singapore?

Among the agencies that publish prices, the starting points run from about S$1,000 a month for an add-on to S$3,500 a month for a full programme, and the largest published package is US$10,000 a month. Ask what each price includes, and for how many months you are signing.

Why does it matter how often an agency checks?

Because the answers change from one ask to the next. A single check can catch a good day or a bad one. Asking the same questions every day, in the same way, shows which way you are really moving, and which changes moved you.

Do I still need SEO if I do AI SEO?

Yes. Google's AI and ChatGPT usually read the web before they answer, and a website Google cannot read well is one its AI cannot quote. The best agencies do the two together.

Can I see what ChatGPT says about my business before I hire anyone?

Yes. Write down five questions your customers would ask, put "Singapore" in each, and ask them a few times in new chats. Our guide to getting ChatGPT to recommend your business walks you through it.
